SUBMISSIONS
Please note that we do not accept email submissions or queries by email.
We are particularly interested in commercial and literary fiction and non fiction for the adult market and children's fiction for 8+. Do look at the authors on our website to get a clear idea of the kind of books we represent. We do not accept science fiction, horror, adult fantasy, light romance, self help, cookery, gardening, film and TV scripts, plays, poetry or picture/illustrated books.
USA , Canada, Australia , New Zealand and India
For practical reasons we do not represent authors based in these countries
SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES
Please write to us enclosing a synopsis and the first three or four chapters on loose A4 paper, one side only, with double or 1.5 line spacing. In the covering letter, tell us about any previously published work and relevant details about yourself. Include a CV if your work is non fiction. Please include your email address and sufficient return postage if you would like us to return your manuscript, otherwise a stamped addressed envelope for our response.

REPLIES
We employ readers who specialise in all the key areas of our business. Please bear in mind that we receive large numbers of submissions and we make every effort to reply within 8 weeks. We will only reply if you have enclosed a stamped addressed envelope or provided an email address. Because of the volume of manuscripts that we deal with, all paperwork is destroyed after 3 months. You should keep a copy of any material that you send to us. We do take every care over your work but we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.
We are unable to give any feedback on your manuscript. If you are looking for advice there are literary consultants who, for a fee, will give you a detailed analysis.

the key!
